We Remember Our Fallen Veterans: May 26, 2019 – 9am Mass & Laying of Wreath

For the past 69 consecutive years. St Vitus Parish has remembered and honored US Armed Forces Veterans on or around Memorial Day Weekend.

On May 26, 2019 at and during the 9:00AM Mass in St. Vitus Church we will remember all Veterans who served in US Armed Forces. Over 750 parishioners served in the US Armed Forces during WWII. Including the Korean and Vietnam wars, 43 parishioners who served gave their lives so that we may live in freedom. A reading of all deceased St Vitus Catholic War Veteran Post 1655 members will be said during the 9:00AM Mass. After the 9AM Mass, weather permitting, there will be taps and laying of a wreath in the church rectory court-yard by the Veteran Memorial Monument. After laying of the wreath, pastry, coffee, juice, and fellowship will follow in the lower church hall. All are welcome to attend and not forget our fallen Veterans. The Mass is sponsored by st Vitus Catholic War Veterans Post 1655 and Ladies Auxiliary Post 1655.
