Annual Parish Summer Picnic
Typically held in mid-July at the recreational center of Slovenska Pristava in Harpersfield, Ohio. Learn more about Slovenska Pristava.
Occur approximately four to five times per year, including the annual parish Palm Sunday dinner and, each September, the Altar & Rosary Society dinners.
In continuous operation since the 1980s, the parish food bank provides bagged food, primarily dry food products, on a once-a-month basis, normally the second last Wednesday of each month. The geographic area served is from East 40th to East 74th Streets, between Lake, St. Clair and Superior Avenues.
Baking of Goods & Delivery
Small gifts at Christmastime for the homebound or those in assisted-living facilities.
Bake “Krofe” (Slovenian Donuts)
Batches of krofe are baked six to eight times per calendar year, working with Altar & Rosary Society members.
Coffee & Donut Sundays
Requires greeting and general help (such as coffee brewing) after the Sunday Masses in the lower church hall.
Hot Meal Program
Performed once-a-month on a Saturday from 11:30AM to 1:00PM, in cooperation with St. Pascal Baylon Helping Hands Ministry. Any individual in need is welcome to enjoy a prepared nutritious meal, as well as having company and conversation with other people.
Delivery of Food Baskets
To the homebound or seniors during the Christmas season.
