The parish food bank has been in continuous operation for 37 years (1983) and has provided over 610,000 pounds of food. Dry, canned food, and other food items are distributed once a month in the lower church hall of St. Vitus Church. The Lourdes Shrine opened in 1926 and is administered by the Sisters Of The Most Holy Trinity (Trinitarians) as a ministry of redemptive mercy (spiritual work of mercy). Mass and other para-liturgical services such as Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of the Rosary and Benediction, are offered as well as seasonal breakfast and lunch. The Lourdes Shrine in Euclid, OH is a replica of the Grotto in Lourdes, France.

Checks may be made to “St. Vitus Church-Works of Mercy” and mailed to: St. Vitus Rectory, Works of Mercy, 6019 Lausche Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103. All donations received in this manner will be provided for the food bank and Lourdes Shrine. The goal is to raise $10,000 so that this work performed may be able to continue.
