Concert Sacred Music: December 29, 2019
For the past 30 or so years there has been an amazing gift presented to St. Vitus Parish parishioners and the general public in northeast Ohio with the presentation of an annual “Concert of Sacred Music,” performed under the direction of Choir Master, John Srsen, mixed male and female chorus ranging from 45 to 50 individual singers, string and wind musicians, and a professional church pipe organ master.
This year the Concert of Sacred Music will be held on DECEMBER 29, 2019 (Sunday) in the following:
- All Parish Mass at 10:00AM in St. Vitus Church, 6019 Lausche Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.
- Concert of Sacred Music, start at 11:30AM in St. Vitus Church.
- Social with light food and refreshments immediately follow the concert in St. Vitus Parish Auditorium, 6111 Lausche Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103 (about 100 feet from the church).
No admission is charged but a free-will offering is encouraged. The free-will offering supports the work and mission of good liturgical music and singing. This is a great way to unwind from the Christmas season and to have the opportunity to listen to great signing in English, Latin, and Slovenian supported by good musicians as well as listening to the melodious and orchestral sounds of the 1,500 church pipes and church pipe organ on the completely restored Holtkamp church pipe organ.
