Baraga Days 2015 Cleveland – Sept. 5th & 6th

The annual Bishop Baraga Days will be held in Cleveland, Ohio on September 5th and 6th, 2015. Bishop Frederic Baraga is recognized as one of the greatest Slovenian missionaries to the USA. A Solemn Mass will be held on Sept. 5th, 2015 at 6:30PM in St. Vitus Church with Bishop Richard G. Lennon as the principal celebrant. Social and fellowship will follow the Mass in the parish auditorium.

There will also be a Solemn Mass on Sept 6th, 2015 at 2:00PM at St. Mary The Assumption Church (15519 Holmes Avenue, Clev., OH 44110) followed by a banquet and gathering in the parish hall. The Most Rev. Metod Pirih, retired bishop, diocese of Koper, will be the principal celebrant. Baraga Day banquet tickets are $30 per person and limited to 500 tickets. Reservations may be made by contacting St. Mary Parish rectory at (216) 761-7740 or mailing in a request to St. Mary Parish. Tables will be reserved 8-to-10 per table. Table reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.

St. Vitus’ choir director, John Srsen, is the Baraga Man of The Year 2015, with Mrs. Marica Lavrisha as the Baraga Woman Of The Year 2015.
